Issue No. 84: In London This Week: Esther Ferrer Performs

A performance by Esther Ferrer

Saturday 25 June, 7pm

In conjunction with the exhibition Gone with the Wind, Raven Row will host a performance by artist Esther Ferrer (b. 1937, Spain).

Esther Ferrer is best known for her radical performances, her principal form of artistic expression since 1965, both as a soloist and as a member of pioneering experimental music and performance art group ZAJ (formed 1964). Alongside composers Juan Hidalgo and Walter Marchetti, Ferrer participated in the group's ‘visible music’ actions and extended concerts.

Known as a proponent of free expression, confrontation, feminism and authentic experience, Ferrer will present a new performance work at Raven Row.

This event is free and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The galleries will be open to visitors attending the event from 6pm. To book and for more information please contact info@ravenrow.org.
